"Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, this country, and this world." —Sharon Salzberg
NOTES FROM LEAH B.:
We are less than two weeks away from election day. The most important thing you can do in this moment is to go vote. The second most important thing you can do is ensure your family, friends, and neighbors have transportation so they, too, can vote.
If you follow my Facebook page, you will see just how much MAGA is pushing Islamophobic hatred and fear. More recently, I have also come across a number of antisemitic posts and posts that imply that only an all white America is a great America. We cannot let these things go unchallenged. We must speak out against racism, bigotry, Christian Nationalism, and White Nationalism. Your vote is one way you can do so.
I was reflecting on the MAGA movement earlier today. I recall how it started with fear and racism against our South American neighbors. Then Trump went after Somalis, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders. Now he is attacking Muslims. Who will be next? By now, this should sound familiar to you.
First they came for the Communists,
And I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the Socialists,
And I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
And I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
And I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—
And there was no one left
To speak out for me. [1]

NOTES FROM INDIVISIBLE "WHAT'S THE PLAN?" NATIONAL MEETING (10-22-26):
The No Kings: Vote Early events were a success! People were already voting early at a rate of 30% higher than the last midterms. That number stayed the same on Saturday in areas that did not have No Kings events, but rose to 52% in areas that did! Great job, y'all!
They discussed Meta's shutdown of the No Kings Instagram account on No Kings Day. They are demanding accountability, as are many lawmakers. Meta tried to schedule a private meeting with the organizers of No Kings including Indivisible, but the organizers are demanding that Meta pinpoint what happened and share the information publicly.

3-MINUTE CALL TO ACTION:
Leave a public comment opposing the proposed changes to the U.S. Census. Say something like, "This proposed legislation would erase immigrant representation across the country and worsen civil rights protections for all Americans," or "The courts have repeatedly affirmed that the Constitution requires counting ALL residents in the census, whether citizens or non-citizens, documented or undocumented."
