"No one can do everything, but everyone can do something." --Max Lucado

NOTES FROM LEAH:

There is a lot going on in our country right now.  Hearings for the 2027 budget, primary elections, the vote on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and so much more. Then there is the Iran War and its impact on our economy.  I was driving through Escanaba today and the gas prices ranged from $4.20 to $4.50 for regular unleaded and over $6.00 for diesel.  The diesel costs are particularly worrisome, because has diesel rises so do food prices.

I have read predictions that even if the blockade were cleared this week, it could still be the end of the year before gas prices really come down.  It may be wise to plan for the long haul.  Perhaps we could find ways to come together as a community to help each other out in this regard.  Some may have great knowledge of gardening that they could share with everyone.  Others may be able to teach canning to those who don't know how.  Perhaps someone is great with coupons and sales and can show us how to save at the grocery store.

Together we stand, divided we fall.  Together we can help one another and others in our community in the upcoming months as the needs grow.  In the meantime, tomorrow is our Ice Cream Social.  Stop on by and grab something sweet.

2) Most of the discussion was around May Day Strong, nothing really new there
